    Sacred 2 Demo is here

    http://www.gamershell.com/download_33242.shtml

    It is in German though, but you can get a taste of the game that should be out early october.

    CDWOW are selling the CE for £50, but this is the Australian version and I dont know if it will work on a DVD drive in the UK?

    http://www.cdwow.com/SACRED-2-FALLEN...t/view/3246192

    The CE comes with full resolution textures that will require a monster PC, but also with Raid to run smoothly which is why I want it. I dont have Raid yet, but want to try it with full res textures.

    I placed the order and emailed customer service for more info, but will cancel it if it wont work on a UK DVD drive.

    Re: Sacred 2 Demo is here

    Some screenshots from the Sacred 2 forums, this game is truly beautiful, but be warned, it requires an up to date PC to run on maximum settings (2.0 Ghz Core 2 Duo, Nvidia 8800 GTS / ATI 3870):

    The Grass and Shadows in this game are trully amazing and are the main reason why such high specs are required. A Geforce 6800 or ATI X800 are minimum specs for this game:

    System Requirements

    Minimum System Requirements:

    * 2.4 GHz processor
    * 1 GB RAM
    * Graphics card 256 MB, from nVidia® GeForce™ 6800 or ATI® Radeon™
    * DirectX compatible sound card
    * DVD-ROM drive
    * 20 GB free Hard Drive (HDD) space
    * Windows XP, XP64, Vista, Vista64 • DirectX 9.0d (included with game)

    Recommended requirements for a fast, smooth-running game:

    * Dual Core 2.0 GHz processor
    * 2 GB RAM
    * Graphics card 512 MB, ab nVidia GeForce 8800 GTS oder ATI Radeon HD 3870
    * DVD-ROM drive
    * 5.1 surround sound card (EAX 5.0 compatible, DirectX 9.0d [for XP] or DirectX 10.0 [for Vista] compatible), with surround speakers or headphones
    * Mouse with mouse wheel
    * 25 GB free Hard Drive (HDD) space
    * Microsoft Windows XP (32 / 64 Bit) with Service Pack 3 / Vista 32 / 64 Bit) with Service Pack 1
    * DirectX 9.0d (included with game)
    * Optional: DSL modem or network card for multiplayer games

    Some pics of the Human regions:

    I cant wait, this is my most anticipated game since Oblivion.

    Re: Sacred 2 Demo is here

    Quite enjoyed a play at the demo there. Very pretty game, my pc just manages on full with 2x AA with FPS dips every now and again, but didn't bother me that much.

    Camera annoyed me though as I couldn't figure out if there was a free camera or not, my knowledge of german isn't the best so I was a bit confused on what to do, quests etc. I just ran around and killed stuff.

    Laughed when I saw Blind Guardian band members are going to be in it, the new song is reasonable but not quite up to Nightfall in Middle Earth standards, but then again not much is

    Re: Sacred 2 Demo is here

    The fixed camera annoyed the hell out of me too.

    Free camera is under gameplay, the option that says 'Frei'. Then you can pitch and rotate it anywhere you like with a middle mouse button click, spin and scroll.

    They still havn't released the English demo yet, you cant do much without understanding German except running around and killing things. I envy people who can understand German right now.

    But when it is this fun in German, imagine how much better it will be once you can understand it =D

    I actually notice lag during combat at max settings and 4x AA with just one 4850 and crossfire disabled, but with crossfire enabled everything is smooth as butter

    It's a killer game for todays PC's, too shiny, too much foliage, and too many shadows. I suppose that a 3870 / 8800 GTS will play it completely smooth at maximum with no AA. Using AA with all the grass = major slowdown.
