    More Stalker Clear Sky Issues

Ok is anyone else having major issues with this game, Im having real performance issues, I had the lighting details set to full dynamic lighting and I get around 60FPS average however about every 30 seconds or so the game will slow right down to around 5 fps or even hang for a few seconds, when this happens eather the hard drive or the DVD drive goes off on one as if its trying to load something?

Make sure your PC meets or exceeds the minimum specification on the box. If it does, you can try reinstalling your video drivers, directX and the game. If that doesn't fix it, it may be worth checking to see if your video card or CPU is overheating - try lowering the settings in the game.

My PC definatly meets the recomendations , Just done a windows reinstall and updated drivers, no fix, only thing I can do to get it running smooth is lower the settings to static lighting.

When you get the chugging framerates drop down the console and type vid_restart

This helps me no end when I load a save game or move to another map following a load. Also, SSAO has a big effect on framerate. Check out the tweakguide for Clear Sky.

Re: More Stalker Clear Sky Issues

Think it could be because im running 1920 x 1200 with a 512mb graphics card?, Bear in mind other games work fine.

    Anyone else playing this at 1920 x 1200 on a 4870?

Negative, patch is compatible with previous (1.5.04) save games. There are many lua script fixes so I recommend removing your gamedata folder if you installed any mods.
