Remember Area 51 from Midway? Well it's free!

David Duchovny added his voice talent to this 1.9GB shooter, that's now free, FREE I TELL YOU!

It might take a time to download, but what the hell, eh?

    This game was pretty good.

The only thing I can say that's bad about it is that the motion bob is that bad when running it actually drove me motion sick and usually FPS games don't bother me.

    I was running it on a TFT @ 1280x1024

Indeed matey, but a) the link you previously posted doesn't work anymore and b) This has been 'released' from Midway themselves, and there's nothing of this 'ad-supported' malarkey.

(Seeing as those files are the same size as the ones I downloaded....I think they are ad supported unless you are able to prove otherwise)

Nice one, I'm quite happy to be told wrong. I was going by the fact the fact that it doesn't say 'ad-supported' everywhere, but then that means nothing, does it?

    I'll get my coat...

Don't worry about it, the site linked to gamershell anyway, was wanting to point out there were more freebies than Area 51

Re: Remember Area 51 from Midway? Well it's free!

Awesome! If this is the same game I'm thinking of, I had it on the PS2 a few years back. I might have to grab The Suffering too.

Edit: Avast popped up a virus flag during install; the file is A51 (with no extension). It is 3,764 KBs. It says its a Virus/Worm. Can anyone confirm if this is a false-positive or not?

I used to love the old Area 51 (arcade). Spent way too much money on that as a kid

I thought that might be the case, but it never hurts to be sure.
