I know lots of people who swear by that game. They say that it's amazing fun and has a lot to offer, and that it is also really cheap £ per gameplay, compared to other games.

    Re: Mount & Blade

I think alot of people are going to take one look at the graphics and just look away, I know i did but reading a couple of them reviews I think i'll try it out.

    Re: Mount & Blade

yeah it looks good (graohics aside) apprently it doesnt have much of an over arching stroy which i think means i might get bored but wading into massive battles hacking away sounds good to me. I need to get this i think and the witcher - problem is i dont seem to use my pc for gaming anymore which is strange

    Permanently confused

    Re: Mount & Blade

Yeah the graphics turned me off but I played it in a beta or a free trial or something ages ago, and it looked ok. The big draw at the time was that it was the first modern game (I think) that let you fight stuff from horseback. So it has real jousting and stuff and it's just great.

    Re: Mount & Blade

    Does sound interesting.

Reading that wiki article it seems that the Engine is open to modification so its plausible that someone might do a graphics update patch to bring everything to uber shinyness.

I might give the demo a go and see how it plays

I don't like that in a game. There needs to be some questing and an over all story. Like with the Neverwinter games. Otherwise I just don't really get into it. But I don't need the eye candy to enjoy a game.

It does seem like the kind of game you'd just get addicted to, planning on picking it up soon myself.
