    Crysis crashes after update

    Hi All,
So I installed Crysis a couple of weeks ago - everything was working fine, and I played it for a bit, but then I thought... Hmm maybe I should patch this to the latest level. I downloaded patch 1.1 and 1.2 and 1.2.1 and applied them all in order.

Now when I start up the game it seems to be fine if I start a 'new' game. If I try to load an existing save, however, the game locks up. Anyone seen anything similar? Any ideas how I can fix it?

    Cheers...

    Tom

    Re: Crysis crashes after update

Have you checked in the release notes to see if the old saved games are compatible with the update? Quite a lot of games wont work with old saves, if there has been a significant overhaul in the background.

At the very worst, you could use level skip cheats to get to the beginning of the level you were on and continue from there, or try and download some save games.

Edit: Just had a quick google and there do seem to be other people who have had the same problem too, but i havent come across any solutions yet I'm afraid. First thing that I would do is back up all the saved games, then if you cant find more googling, uninstall and see whether or not the saves still work with 1.0, then 1.1, then 1.2...

Sorry for not being that helpful mate, i know its a bummer when you lose your saves

    Re: Crysis crashes after update

Tried a few earlier save games and they didn't work either. I _really_ hope I don't need to start again... WAAAAH!!!
