    PES 2009 or Fifa 09

I am a self preclaimed PES fanboy and wouldnt ever buy fifa. This year tho i actually like fifa 09 and believe it has come on leaps and bounds from previous versions. I still bought PES 2009 on release which is normal for me and have to say that the game play is still better on PES, but this year i believe i will actually play both games. PES really needs the licences and upgrade on the actual look of in game menu's and more detail on players and clubs. I think next year I might just be tempted to buy Fifa for the 1st time since 1995. Or can PES really stop the rot and fork out some money for licenses???

Its already been discussed, search the forums.

FIFA looks better, PES plays better. Try the demos, get the one you prefer.

    End of story.

Re: PES 2009 or Fifa 09

well this is what most people I've met are saying.

General consensus amongst those who used to be PES fans prior to PES2008 is that FIFA 09 is the much superior game.
"The less you eat, drink and buy books; the less you go to the theatre, the dance hall, the public house; the less you think, love, theorise, sing, paint, fence, etc., the more you save – the greater becomes your treasure which neither moths nor rust will devour – your capital. The less you are, the less you express your own life, the more you have, the greater is your alienated life, the greater is the store of your estranged being." Karl Marx

Someone starts a thread asking if anyone fancies a game of PES, you reply completely off topic banging on about FIFA. And you are banned from the site, it seems.

    Good old Revol.

That's a great answer to someone interested in buying a football game.

Your whole 'they're both poor' angle is getting tedious, it doesn't make you anymore interesting or profound. As much as I slate the latest Pro Evo's I'd much rather have them over no football game.

oh i'm on a two day ban for telling an attention seeker to stop posting stuff that trivialises mental health problems. I knew I'd get banned when I made my last post, doesn't matter though as I've plenty of games needing played through.

    Getting tedious? Pot, kettle........

It's far better than your, fifa is made by God and PES is the work of infant school children.

He can play an old one he likes. Better still buy Sensible soccer 2006 from GoG.

If you have to buy one, fifa 09 on PC. But i'm not playing it having bought it. It's just not fun. Better than the 360 version which i sold but just not enjoying it.

Re: PES 2009 or Fifa 09

buy fifa if you want the best possible online play. fifa has online leagues, 10v10 online, created BAP clubs, online lobbies etc.

I wold also say that the gameplay is miles better then PES09. players have more animations, passes are better, shots are great and the player movement is brillient!

graphics is better also. looks more lifeliek from a distance.

josh- Fifa has made a massive improvement on gameplay, but im affraid that PES gameplay is still superior. I like alot aspects of both games this year, but still play PES more.

Re: PES 2009 or Fifa 09

I would go with PES it plays great. Only thing what does my nut is the ref giving fouls for what looks like a perfectly good tackle, even more so when they flash the red card for it. Hope this gets fixed maybe in an update somehow

Re: PES 2009 or Fifa 09

I myself used to play the early fifa's as a kid, but then I started playing fifa 08 and more recently fifa 09. To be fair I haven't actually played enough of PES to slag it off, but one think I don't like about it is the fact that it doesn't have any of the licenses for the teams.
