The Official Call of Duty 5: World at War Thread

    Hey guys,

Though it would be a good idea to make a thread we can all discuss on whist we anticipate the arrival on Friday!

also it says that there is multi player, do we have to play with the same people for the mission mode??

Re: The Official Call of Duty 5: World at War Thread

Just finished completing COD:WAW and i am reasonable satisfied but i wont go too much into detail.

    Few points:
    - Love the Flamethrower and double barrel shotgun
    - Bonus game at the end
    - The japs are crazy "Bonzaiiiiiii"

    - However I just felt WAW was COD4 with different skins & weapons.
    - It has not moved on from COD4 which is still the best out of the series.
    - A few problems with some bugs & crashs but was not enough to spoil the flow of the game.
    - Really short game.

I am really looking foward to the multiplayer as i have been playing DOD:Source for a few years & wanted something to replace my regular online FPS.

Re: The Official Call of Duty 5: World at War Thread

My PS3 version arrived from play.com earlier today. Thats 2 days before release

I've not played single player, only multiplayer. Initial thoughts:

    - Good team deathmatch game, only for players level 8 or under. Helpful for newbies
    - The menu system seems a little clunky to me, could be better
    - The dogs (replaces helicopter) are seriously annoying. Far too powerful and cause absolute chaos!
    - Alot more custom slots than COD4
    - More weapon categories to choose from
    - Similar perks to COD4, but named differently which is confusing to start with
    - Good range of weapons (I'm up to level 12). Although, the modern weapons in COD4 are much better imo
    - Has the same prestige levels as COD4
    - For me, tanks are a nice addition but are extremely slow and boring
    - Co-Op mode in single player is a nice addition

Overall, its more of the same. It builds on COD4, so if you liked that you'll definitely like this

Re: The Official Call of Duty 5: World at War Thread

    hi there guys,
i just wanted to request something. i just wanted to know if anyone would be kind enough to post up a print screen when they are playing cod5 on full settings and i would like to see someone with a 8800GTX.

basically i just bought a second hand 8800gtx and think its underperforming.

ideally on xp if that matters..
