Guitar Hero: World Tour drumkit problems?

Seems there has been quite a few complaints about the drums not working properly. Most times it's the red drum being under-sensitive (the case on mine), sometimes there's a pad that's over-sensitive (like my orange cymbal) and a few times just not happening at all. Activision are blaming poor initial manufacturing, so supposedly only a few kits are faulty. BUT they're saying you need to pay postage to send them back for repairs.

Anyone else had problems? (Anyone else actually got the whole set?)

The problem seems to be affecting all platforms, mine's 360 and I've seen numerous PS3 complaints online.

It seems that you can unscrew the back and place everything properly, byt there's the risk you'll muck everything right up, a chance I don't want to take. So far I've managed by whacking the red a lot harder than I would do, but that's just increasing the breakage chances.

i have to say, my kit was working fine since fri, but saying that, my red drum seems to have lost a bit of sensitivty over the last couple of days. I just put it down to me changing my seating position constantly,so hitting the drum in a different spot...
maybe its just me, i dunno. can we get the usb/midi cable somehow to adjust the sensitivity?
i have it on the PS3.

I think the midi cable is available for Europe customers. Check the activision guitar hero website

I think all you need is your serial number and proof of purchase within the last 90 days! It is also worth checking the forums for quick fixes - I've read something about tape to fix some dodgy pads.

I checked this a few days ago, and it was available then. As the earlier poster said you need your serial (and maybe 360 number too)
My drums are fine, but I may get one "just in case".
