I think the list there is useful and I don't think I'll be buying any of the games on the list until their DRM gets relaxed by a patch. I'll try to keep this first post updated. I'd like to add information on the type of DRM and number of installs allowed to this list later as well for everyone's reference, mine included.
Mass Effect: SecuROM, can be authenticated 5 times
Dead Space: SecuRom, 5 installs, online authentication http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_Sp...ideo_game)#DRM
Mirror's Edge
Spore: Securom, 5 computers at the same time http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spore_(...OM_controversy
C & C 3: Kane's Wrath
Crysis Warhead: Securom, 5 computers
Red Alert 3: SecuRom, 5 installs, online authentication
Farcry 2: 5 install limit http://forums.hexus.net/hexus-gaming...d-news-pc.html
X3: Terran Conflict: Tagès no limit (non steam), 5 computers (steam)
Grand Theft Auto IV: SecuROM copy protection, and will require one-time online authentication via the Internet and will also require the game disc in the drive to play. The game can be installed on an unconnected PC, but will still require online activation. "GTA IV PC also requires a number of software installations, including Games For Windows, Adobe Flash, Internet Explorer, SecuROM and our Rockstar Games Social Club application.". No install limits.
Bioshock: install limit has been removed.
Colin McRae DIRT: latest patch 1.22 removes Starforce protection. Has a DRM issue that means for some people the application won't boot on a valid install. The only workaround at the time was to remove the disk, load up, and then reinsert the disc when the securom popup appeared.
football manager 2009: 5 install limit
