Reinstalled it again, D2 & LOD and playing with friends over a VPN, classic game
Rumour has it that they might not have lan play in Diablo 3, but waiting to see if thats comes true, of which if it does, I wont be buying it
Works fine on Vista Ultimate 64
Does anyone know how long Blizzard keep your characters for? I completed Diablo II and then bought the expansion pack butnever got round to playing it.
I downloaded it from the Blizzard store using my cd keys over the weekend. Had a quick go and what a cracking game it is, heard the main-menu music and memories came flooding back.
It's pretty time consuming, though. I don't think I'll be able to supe up a character and go collecting goodies. My Druid is level 22 at the mo.
Certainly made me eagerly anticipate Diablo 3.
That's handy to know Parm - I have to admit that I had a sneaking suspicion that Blizzard would insist that only stuff bought through the Blizzard store would be valid for download, however if the old keys work then that's good. Did it come pre-patched? If so I might have to grab it from there for my lappy, as it had issues for some reason running after I'd setup the NoCD (the last patch made it playable without the CD being present if you copied various folders over, so this was entirely legitimate!)
Yep, it's pre-patched, too! I download D2 and LoD and was very impressed, downloads were quick and easy. Thumbs up to the Blizzard Store thus far.
Not very long, it used to be 3 months once the charcter was active... once active meaning that you had logged something like 12 hours on battlenet as that character, if memory serves. Dunno if the rules have changed? I just play it TCP/IP with a mate. I found a CD with all my old saves on from about 2 years ago... some amazing gear amongst that lot and two characters bordering on level 80.

Got A druid with werewolf abilities loving it picking up items and getting better ones has got me addicted again too! I use to play online all the time with Zadock but lost the chars as I forgot to back them up when I did a reformat .
Geting started on a Paladin and sorceress now and working on these builds with Zadock.
Colossus
Got a hammerdin up to about level 50 now... quite amusing, quite a solid character to he's yet to be killed, 1 point in redemption and the need for potions is all but taken away

Just spent the last few days with Zadock, working on a Necromancer doing skeleton summoning and a couple o 'choice' curses, mainly weaken and decrepify! What an awesome character! The funniest I've built.
I have an army (currently) of 16 minions! 14 Skeletons, a golem, and a guard! when in party with Zadock's Paladin (Fanatic/zeal Paladin) nothing can stop us as the skeletons attack too fast!
