Nope, never heard of it...
Someone mentioned it on IRC IIRCmust be at least one Hexus player around.
Just downloaded the demo and had a go at the first 2 levels. I had no idea what I was doing. Lots of flashing colours and strange music/noises. It's like Geometry Wars on shrooms.
I play Space Giraffe a lot. Think Tempest with some psychedelic shavings on top (though Jeff Minter disputes that its similar) It's better on the 360 to be fair, bulling without the vibration doesn't feel right at all, though the PC version has the new mode that turns down the intensity a little. Most refer to space giraffe as a marmite game, I love it.
What we share with everyone is glum, and dark...
its so fun, its like tempest just gone mental
tried the demo, didn't like it

Knew about Space Giraffe for a while before it landed on xbox live. At the time I didn't have an xbox so was hoping for a PC release. Grabbed it for the PC and then when I got the Xbox for Christmas I bought it on that to. Love Jeff Minter's games and Space Giraffe is a great game, for all those that say they don't "get" the game, what's not to get? Its Tempest on roids and all the better for itI have wasted many an hour on that game
Basically to do well at it, kill enough enemies to keep your bar at a distance from yourself and when the enemies build up on the right hand side just slide towards them knocking them all off and what the points roll inOr play the tutorial on the game which will show you everything you need to know

one of the 3 games ive bought on xbox live the others being geometry wars and braid all worth the points
