I meant that we're still waiting for a genuine sequel to one of my favourite ever games, Battlefield 2. It's just that I doubt it's ever going to happen with every announcement - 2142, Heroes, now 1943...

I am really unimpressed, if you want an really good experience dust off your copy of BF2 and install project reality. It's the game BF2 should have been.

A couple of my mates informed me that patch 1.5 will be released for Battlefield 2 at some point. I doubt anybody believes it will actually change anything, but we can always hope.

The fact that a game that buggy can be that good does say a lot for it, mind. I've never played PR, but since none of my clan played it, I was never going to take it up really.

I'm pumped for this! I must admit that I haven't played BF 2142 yet due to my shoddy pc but this will get a proper look seen as its more like the original.

You haven't missed ****. If you own Battlefield 2, there is absolutely no reason to waste the money on BF2142, it's like a vastly inferior spinoff more or less with futuristic Star Wars-style robots and guns and really bad sound.

I'll get BF1943 for sure if it runs on XP. If the Vista-only rumors are true, then it will never see the light of day -- I'm not running that OS for ANY game.
