I read somewhere (PC Gamer a couple of months ago I think) that it's due for release before xmas 2009.
"The less you eat, drink and buy books; the less you go to the theatre, the dance hall, the public house; the less you think, love, theorise, sing, paint, fence, etc., the more you save – the greater becomes your treasure which neither moths nor rust will devour – your capital. The less you are, the less you express your own life, the more you have, the greater is your alienated life, the greater is the store of your estranged being." Karl Marx
I know that some round here didn't particularly care for Mass Effect but I though it was great so I'm more than up for this!
What we share with everyone is glum, and dark...
Loved some elements of it, but hated others. If they could distill the good stuff then this could be a great game.
Agreed with kalniel. If they get rid of the repetitous side quests it'll be vastly improved from the offing.
I actually just started playing ME again, as I bought bringing down the Sky but never tried it. Continued with my old character, so have left the Citadel nearing level 50 which is pretty nice.
Be at home in 2 hours so will be firing it up then also.
I couldn't be bothered to complete the optional extras but I really enjoyed the story and the speech options (although they could definitely be expanded on).
Definitely looking forward to Mass Effect 2, I just hope that they really go for it on improving the gameplay, and don't just release an expansion pack.
I really enjoyed the first, but found it very easy. This will certainly be on my Christmas list if the PC version is out in time (which I doubt).
After hitting another moon in a buggy for the fifth time, I didnt bother doing any more side missions and just concentrated on the main storyline instead. Hugely cinematic, the combat almost didnt matter - just liked the narrative.
If they keep the story as compelling and make some decent sides, then it will be cool. I do love a bit of sci-fi, so will def pick it up... whenever it comes out...
Hopefully they'll make some non-generic side missions...
Landing on an identical moon to go into an identical space ship/shuttle/mine/base/building got boring about third time...
But I've got 7 completionist achievements left to get![]()
the speech functions were funny you would choose one option and he would say it totally different to what you wanted lol
I didnt really enjoy the slow pace of it especially out of combat seqences (which are overly complicated)
