    Calling X2 Gurus

Ive just started playing this game and it looks fantastic so much to do, at the moment ive jsut gotten a second ship and im experimenting sending it off trading but it seems to go very slow , anyhow ive done the second mission where you transort some people and get shot at and on the advice of the woman im off to argon prime, I get there, com with the geezer onboard and he lets me dock, I set autopiolet for his ship and then my ship just stays behind his without docking , I tryed turning off autopiolet and doing it manual but I just crashed into the bay door and damaged my ship.

    Any advice?

Not to keen on this, bit complicated for my liking and for some reason it doesn't run to good on my machine in 800x600 when it should run perfect. Prefer Freelancer and Tachyon as thay are virtually pick up and play.

I enjoyed it, but I don't think there's mulitplayer. Still prefer Morrowind though, being playing that since before the new year and still going strong.

I got it while back, although it's been on the back burner for a while (Forgotten Battles ) its a really good game - although takes ages to get into (unless you sell off parts of the transport ship from one of the early missions - beding the rules methinks). Freelancer is a lot easier to get into - but lacks the real trading/empire building that X2 has in spades, exploration is a big plus on Freelancer, but they're both top games. As for multiplayer - in my opinion it doesn't add anything to Freelancer, and it isn't missed in X2 (at least I don't think it's there????). Anyhooooo, thats my two-pennoths worth.

In my opinion, the problem with Freelancer is it's basically go here and shoot anything that moves. After a while it just gets a bit repetative, and there isn't much motivation to do anything, whereas in X2 you can build a factory empire, explore, be a bounty hunter, etc etc.

Well I really enjoyed Freelancer and we had a blast for a few weeks on multiplayer...But my 1st impressions tonight after messing round for half hour are whoooooooooo what a stunning looking game, runs smooths as you like and looks great, took me bout that time to start to get to grips with the console and controls, the X45 stick helps no end..This promises to be good, for years Ive wanted to see a game set in space that really gives you scope, I was mad on elite and this is the first game since then Ive felt an instant switch onto...IL2 backseat tomorrow night...Ive a empire to build
