I must admit I have yet to play through RA3, so want to do that before I buy an expansion pack

Have you disabled UAC by any chance? If so can you re-enable it and try again?
I had thought it may be an issue, but he tried it under XP SP3 aswell, so my guess is a dodgy installer

It was indeed a dodgy installer, had time to complete COD World at War while it was downloading for the 2nd time, came back, clicked install and Success it's now installing.

Well just completed the Soviet campaign and without wanting to give anything anyway I wasn't that impressed with the ending nor the new units, still got 3 other sides to complete yet so I'll hold my final judgement until i've done them.

Re: Red Alert 3: Uprising, how to install?

Ok... so what do i do?
UAC is enabled, Download manager worked before i activated it, now that UAC is active the manager is asking for a new flash plugin and i installed it... several times, and after the reboot it still will not come up. the game is downloaded for the second time, i deleted the first copy. i have another copy of the game that i made after the download. I tried to follow the forum, got lost somewhere in the middle of it's not working, downloaded again, it works now...
