What is the recommended processor for a GTX 295

    Hello,

I’m with stupid today for some reason my head is up in the clouds and I’m about to ask an inane question. A couple of months back I built a new rig and now want to change the GPU for a 295 but I’m a little concerned that the processor isn’t up to scratch...? I have an Intel Duo Core 2 Quad 2.66GHz processor running on a Rampage Extreme X48 is this enough to run with a 295?

I thought as much I just wanted to hear it from somebody else I'm upgrading again near the end of this year to an i7 processor and probably X58 as well, I like to wait for the prices to drop a little, I have learned not burn my fingers with money and wait a while.

    Thanks
