Anyone played this yet?
Stardock's last game - Sins of a Solar Empire was great, I might check this new one out.

I enjoyed Supreme Commander which was done by the same team.
Looks like another great CPU bashing RTS with RPG elements.
Do you think it uses GPGnet for online play? I remember it taking many, many updates and antivirus/firewall fixes to get it working properly...

Not to sure on this one. Not into RTS type games really, will hold judgement off till a few reviews are up
Ironclad Games made SoaSE, did and are still doing a damned good job with it too, Stardock are the publisher. Demigod is by Gas Powered Games of Supreme Commander fame as pointed out above. I think Stardock's last game was in the Galactic Civilizations II series. Not meaning to be picky - it's just credit where credit's due
Not sure about buying Demigod yet at least not until I've played a demo. To be honest, I'm glad they've released this - it'll mean they'll be cracking on with SC2![]()

Never said it was an advantage. I feel pretty much the same - Space Siege was terrible! However I still rate Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance as one of my all time favourites in the genre. I've spent many hundreds of hours in it and still get a kick out of playing it. That reason alone piques my interest.
In any case, I'll reserve judgement until I've at least tried it.
For those that don't know demigod is basically a dota game, although I'm interested in the game I think I'll wait for some people that have played the game to give an opinion on it before I go out and buy it. Mostly of course because I'm not a huge fan of dota.
I reckon the gameplay is alright.. much much better than Dawn of War 2 anyway.

this looks fairly good but I am concerned about its replayability.
will wait for the demo
From what I can see Demigod plays a LOT like DoTA. The gameplay mechanic seems almost identical. The difference is, it uses a number of simple maps like a traditional RTS, rather than one thoroughly rehearsed map like DoTA does. On top of that, the skills and items trees seem much more simplified and obvious than DoTA is, so there should be less of a learning curve in that department. Graphics look good (certainly better than Warcraft 3 anyway, haha)
I am not sure that it can justify its £25 price tag. I will be honest it does appeal to me but I can see it getting tiresome very quickly.
The graphics look ace though and hopefully the gameplay is nice and smooth.
Maybe removing the depth and making the learning curve easier will probably attract players initially but whether it will keep players is another question.

And yeah it does looks alot easier to get into than Supcom... although people are already having problems with multiplayer.
they had to rush to setup matchmaking servers as the game was released early by some retailers lots of bugs by the sound of things![]()

I'm loving this, but a good read of the (hard to find!) manual is a must - if anybody wants the pdf drop me a line and I'll PM it to ya.
BTW, what's DotA?
This hot girl came over to myspace last night, she twittered my yahoo till I

Defense of the Ancients (DotA) is a custom scenario for Warcraft III, based on the "Aeon of Strife" map for StarCraft. The objective of the scenario is to destroy the opponents' "Ancient". The two teams' ancients are heavily guarded structures at opposing corners of the map. Players use powerful units known as heroes, and are assisted by allied heroes and AI-controlled fighters called "creeps". As in role-playing games, players level up their hero and use gold to buy equipment during the mission.
