Sorry if I'm being a bit ignorant here, but MSR?

Microphone compatibility sucks unless you use Singstar mics.

    Good enough reasoning?

Yes, although I thought that was all supposed to be sorted on all platforms.

Re: 360/ps3 - and not a flame war

i think you should get a 360, i hadnt really loved gaming since my ps1 but the 360 got me back in love with gaming

also the ps3 controller is dreadful it feels like it may snap in your hand, saying that though i hear the duel shock 3 is better.

    Wow.

Thanks for all the replies guys!

I think I won't be getting one at all then, simply coming down to the lack of use problem...But the PS3 was attractive for its BluRay AND gaming capabilities.....

Thank you for all your opinions/advice!

If you have a newish graphics card and monitor then they might well be HDCP. If so then you can pick up a Blu Ray drive pretty cheap. Or one that plays both Blu Ray and HD DVD. Well worth it

    Aye.

The Dreamcast was a decent console, but ultimately it failed. It had some good games, but not a shed load. It looked ok but not great.

It was, overall, an average console.

The SNES, the Megadrive, the PS1, the PS2, the 360, the NES. All in a completely different league to the humble Dreamcast.
