You aren't a true rpg'er until you've taken a character through BG1 to BG2 and the two expansions! Plus these days you can use tutu to make BG play and look (menus, resolutions etc) like BG2! Some awsome mods about now, especially for 2. BG1 is still 'ard as nails to this day aswell. Anyway, I never quite got round to finishing NWN2 after buying it off the forums, so cheers WhiteGiant, it's D&D time!

I miss soloing BG2 - most fun gaming challenge ever.

NWN2 kept me interested until the point at which I lost 12 hours of my life for nothng when it kept on repeatedly crashing every time I got to a certain point in one of the main quests.

Not gone back to it since I patched the bug. Got distracted by Orange Box.

I WILL go back to it though. Once all my other games are out of the way. Talk to me in a few years. Sometie after NWN12 comes out I'll be completnig this one I reckon

Wait till you get to Mask of the Betrayer.. it's uncannily like BG2 - actually reminds me of a cross between BG2 and Torment.

Baldur's Gate was indeed brilliant, maybe thats why I'm enjoying NWN2 so much, it feels like BG.

NWN2 is definitely something a bit special, though I did enjoy NWN1 it didn't make me feel as much a part of the story as NWN2 does. RPG system is dead easy to understand in NWN2 as well, the number of devastingly powerful multi-class characters you can created. I completed it with a combination of Sorcerer/Red dragon disciple (for free AC, strength and the ability to breath fire )/paladin and fighter... by the end of the game he was damn near indestuctable. I may re-install it and give a cleric based character a go or an evil version of the above using black guard instead.

Yes and yes.

It's a little bit of a step back in terms of polish or features (both expansions added a lot, whereas this Adventure Pack kind of goes back to the OC type features and polish), but it's got a very nice feel/atmosphere to it, kind of a bit more like elements of BG2 (alkatha) or NWN(1) at times.
