Games to try with Win7 RC?

Just had a ponder, and I can't actually think of any games that actually use dx10 to any significant extent.. so presumably I'm out of date and there must be somethings out there by now that do actually use it? Suggestions?

So far I've got:
Crysis - dx10 is a con, can do it all with dx9
Bioshock - water - woot
Dawn of War II - dx10 a con again as can do it all with dx9?
HAWX demo - a little bit of shadowing around buildings - is that all?

All ties in with the "we hate vista we're sticking with XP" people, there's not much point developing for the new platform if everyone is forgoing it and using an older platform because some arse decided that it was a vista exclusive...

DMC4 flames look pretty, but that's about it...

The XP mode isn't for games. It's for legacy business apps that didn't like Vista and won't like W7 (probably like it even less).

As Zak said in one thread, virtually none of the motor trade has moved to Vista. I'm guessing because there is a specialist app or two they use prety much exclusively that don't work with Vista. They should work in the XP mode though, meaning they don't require XP put on machines that came with Vista or soon to be Windows 7.

Also here in the banking industry, all our client trading machines are still XP - We talking about leading global trading applications here. None of them seem bothered about Vista. Allot of them Linux now anyway i spose.

Personally at home, when i do game i still have XP, was not overly impressed with Vista really, but like others are saying games seem no real gain. As windows is only used for gaming (linux for everything else for me), i dont really see me trying this yet.

I'll be testing Steam no worries. No Peggle, no Windows 7. Don't have BF2 though. Got to sort out my hard drive partitions as well

Steam works fine
Not tested BF2 but don't see why not - works on Vista x64
Not had any problems, I think in general if it works in Vista it'll work in 7 - there are exceptions though but once it has been out a while they should be sorted i'd imagine.

Overall 7 seems more natural to use than Vista - it's a good step up in terms of how you navigate and it seems like a downgrade to come back to Vista
Gaming have had no probs yet!
