Advice On A Decent PC Gamepad Please

My old gamepad just broke and I am now looking to get a new one. The old one was a really cheap unbranded thing and I am happy to spend a bit more this time as the old one was a bit rubbish.

    Any recommendations please? Thanks.

360 pads are excellent. I use a 360 controller for my driving games.

I was hoping to go wireless this time. I assume only the USB ones work on the PC?

Need one of these if you already have a controller, if not there's a combined pack of this and a wireless controller for around £30.

Thanks. I'll look out for the combo pack as I don't have the controller either.

I use the 360 controller regularly for my pc and it works a treat.

Got my wireless adaptor cheap off ebay, about £3 i think. Check it out!

Not many alternatives to be honest. Personally I like the discontinued Sidewinder, the problem with those is that they lack an analogue stick used in some games. PS2 controller can also be made to work with a PC, which I actually prefer but many people don't (and there is no wireless solution).

Another vote for the 360 pad for windows, you can get it with the little receiver for about £30, I got mine from Play.com,

    Edit.. little cheaper at Scan
    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Xbox-...for-use-on-PC))

Thanks. Only problem is Scan want £8 postage which seems very steep.

Scan are good but not for the little things, unless you order them with expensive stuff anyway.

Yet another recommendation on the wireless 360 pad, got mine from Scan the other day and I've barely stopped playing Pro Evo since. I even play Bioshock and usually hate playing FPS' without a mouse and keyboard.

Re: Advice On A Decent PC Gamepad Please

I recently got the Saitek Cyborg gamepad - I generally use a gamepad for non-analogue stuff so I'm not sure how good the analogue sticks are, but the d-pad is great

There's a wired and wireless version out there
