    Neverwinter Nights 2.

This is genuinely the first game I have enjoyed for a good long while. It feels like Baldur's Gate, but has the graphics of a modern game. The ruleset is slightly different to the original I assume, as I actually understand what is happening!

Also, with everything up full, in an outside area, my rig crawls!!!!!! wooooot! (Been looking for a decent game that taxes my system). Setting environmental shadows on medium sorts it out though.

Probably old news to most of you, but I don't remember the last time I was at work and looked forward to going home to play a game. Well worth a look if you like fantasy stuff.

It is good is'nt it? I would very much recommend you buy MASK OF THE BETRAYER add on pack as it continues directly from the events at the end of NWN2.

I agree..really enjoyed this game..i think the first expansion is even better as there are some puzzles present which i enjoy. NWN 1 is one of my favourite all time games too.

Don't forget to try the NWNvault when you've completed it..there's some great mods on there for both games.

    Re: Neverwinter Nights 2.

And when you've done that, Storm of Zehir brings back old skool style party adventuring (new story though, not a direct follow on), and when you've done that, the first adventure pack (DLC), 'Mysteries of Westgate' is out on Wednesday, not to mention the tons of fan-made free modules and multiplayer servers that are springing up, the latter made far more easier by the upcoming 1.23 patch that's in beta testing at the moment.

Storm of Zehir is decent, but I still think the storyline was pants.

I'm afraid I'm guilty of that to, really want to pick up a copy of that. I have NWN, NWN2 and Mask of the Betrayer... I have to admit that I hated NWN when I first got it because I wasn't used to the gameplay and I didn't really come back to it and give it a proper go until I played KOTOR and understood how it all worked Shocking I know but I was always an action RPG player before and was used to clicking things to death.

Though the rules might seem a bit strange, if you start at the beginning (BG1) you get more time to pick them up as leveling's quite slow. Epic set of games though.

Aye, I imported my original BG1 toon into BG2, and I think playing through BG1 makes BG2 even better when you finally get to play it.

I still don't get some of the more intricate rules which often leads to what I feel is quite a well spec'ed team getting wiped. I still love them though Can't wait for Wednesday!

I've played that and loved it. I'm sure the storyline was good.

Anyhow my first D&D games was Baldurs Gate 1, and I was 9 years old. Spent my whole summer trying to complete it

Cool - I got this free with a graphics card a while back, and never got around to playing it. I'll give it a spin
