About LinkBacks2nd xbox controller came today, I now have 2 controllers for my pc, no xbox though, I was wondering if there are any multiplayer pc games, such as fifa?

There was but it got patched out IIRC.

OP this hack enabled you to play left 4 dead splitscreen on the PC with out of the box support for xbox controllers! On screen button logos like A B X Y and everything!

I think there was just a bit of confusion there. See the thing is valve developed it with a set of config files and commands and the capabilities to use splitscreen but they never quite tested it to the point where they felt comfortable releasing it officially. This way they don't have to support it (imagine instructing 1000's of people on how to use the console....) but it's still there.
This guide does a lovely job to get you going. If you need any help past that give me a shout.
