My opinion, one damn ugly handheld, looks like it might be too light & thin..![]()

I think I'll reserve judgement until more details emerge, I can't tell whether it'll more or less comfortable to use from the pictures, and there isn't anything about things like battery life. I do think the smallness will help it though, there was quite a difference between the GBA and the GBA-SP, but being thin might not help in the ergonomics department.
It would've been nice if they'd moved the power and wireless switches, the bumps on those like to dig into my hands
Given the number of UMD games I have I can't see myself ditching my PSP-fatso even if they give a lot of compelling reasons to get one of these.
Is this a toally new console, or a new revision?
Either way, still lacks a second analogue stick. When will Sony learn![]()
Some decent pics updated on engadget now. The old PSP looked like a gamer's handheld, this looks like it's been 'kiddied-up' for the DS type market![]()
waste of space. rubbish!!
I have been interested recently in PSP. Especially with the UMD-less drive. I imagine that would give it a better battery life. And it's internet capabilities sparked interest with me. A slimmer version sounded appealing.
But looking at that picture, I have to say they took away the slim sleek look of the original one and have made it look like a tacky nintendo toy from the 80's And looks easy to break. Sorry. I'm sure it will still be a good gadget. But if that pic is real then I won't either consider buying one![]()
PSP lite looks better, why no 2nd analog stick?
On a positive note this should spark an interest in the PSP and developers will give us more games to play as long as they work on the 'old' psp too.
Apparently this will be priced at £230. Are they mad??? Thats an absurd amount of cash for a handheld
Source fromNumerous UK retailers have begun pricing the PSP Go and it is not looking good. Game, Gamestation and Gameplay have put it up for £230 while Play has it currently listed at a 'guide' price of £249.99. The Noth American price is $250, so it looks like an imported version might be a good idea for UK gamers.

thas way too much. :-/
Currently a PSP 3000 is around £140 and a 16Gb memory stick pro duo is around £60, totaling around £200.
A £30-50 premium seems a bit much for a device we know little about other than that it's smaller and has zero backwards compatability with the staple delivery system.* Of course that $ to £ conversion just downright sucks, the PSP 3000 is closer to the real rate but it still isn't quite there.
There's still so much we don't know. What does this new memory port entail? Is it just going to be a shift to newer more expensive format or are they overcoming limits of the old format? How's the battery life? Have they actually started using screens that don't have masses of ghosting??

*There are plans to allow us to make digital copies of UMDs, so all may not be lost, just depends how its implemented.
I'd hope they do what others are starting to do & move to a universal format (eg Sony Ericsson moving to micro-sd) but I just doubt it on a product such as this.
I wouldn't say £30-£50 premium for a brand new device is too much at all, I would however say that it pushes the price too high for a device of its kind especially compared to its competitors.
looks like Eric Cartman to me
