Watching a stream from another site, but I have to say that I've been quiet impressed!!! There are some cool games coming - but past the sizzle reel, there are some really cool announcements... Wont spoil it for those waiting for the proper write ups, but worth keeping your ear to the sight (If you get what I mean)
Some amazing games and future features revealed! I'm shocked about last.fm and facebook integration both featurs i can see myself using heavily!
Project Natal pretty much makes the wii and its motion sensing controllers look very outdated!
Twitter, facebook and last.fm integration look very delicious to me! I was so suprised that the conference just kept getting better and better as it went on. The games looked incredible and then we have MGS coming along to the 360 which is amazing. And then the whole project natal thing looked phenomenal, and opens up soooooooo many possibilities. I think there was becoming a creative limit on developers as everything has been done before and its difficult to be original and new but fun... this should give everyone a new playground to use
Motion sensing sounds good. Also the games on demand sounds funky however they'll need to be cheaer than £40/£50 (which they won't) otherwise I'll be skipping it due to no resale value, good idea to boost game sales assuming it's handled correctly.
Natal does seem to be absolutely great - I can already see the BEST boxing game ever being made if Natal sees the light of day. You have to wonder how it might make Nintendo feel, as mentioned above. I remember seeing the tech demo that this tech is based upon on IGN a way back, and it appears very accurate, and can detect that trick backwards-forwards motion that seems troublesome on the wii.
The only thing that I can think of that might be limiting is the lack of buttoms to bring up options/menus etc, though maybe there could be on screen buttons. Overall, really impressed. Just catching some of the EA speech now, they didnt really cover Dantes Inferno so much - bit gutted about that - but just about to get onto Mass Effect 2...
Looking forward to the Nintendo speech tomorrow - Still love my wii - if only for the Mario and Zelda franchises more than anything, so still hope they pull something big out of the bag. They will have to go some to beat MSs one tho...
Best bit so far... Paul McCartney and Ringo coming on to talk about Rock Band Beatles and blatantly not having anything to say - then Macca mumbling that he hasnt played it much but that we should all buy it and that he loved being made an 'Android' in the game - talk about turning up just for the money!!!
