Cheers for the heads up, free game rude not to at least try it
*me being paranoid*
Whats the catch though??
excellent,
i used to enjoy the original.
No catch, honest.
It can get a little silly with long training missions and theory lessons aswell in the previous game but at least everyone in the game knew what to do. No stupid questions which you get with other games when people just head straight to the MP without learning the game.
oh thanks for the news. im playing prototype these days![]()
Anyone know what engine this is based on ?
*edit* NM, just found it - its Unreal3 engine, so should be pretty good
Played the original version for a while when it was first released, preloading the new one now
If you're wondering why it's free, it's because it's developed by the US army as a promotional tool.
I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.
Okay, so to classify.
This game is developed by the US army.
It gives strenuous training on how to be a soldier.
It teaches you how to kill like a soldier. The lot.
I wonder how many times this games' name must come up in the court cases where they reckon games cause serial killers. haha!
Strenuous? if it's anything like the last one 30 seconds at a firing range is enough to get you going (basic weapons only though), and we all know when it comes to court cases they all take their behavior out on Grand theft auto.
In all seriousness though the game is all online MP, it's continually supported and updated so if you leave it for a few months and come back there'll be new maps/weapons to play with.
There's nothing to match it in terms of post release support, thanks to the unique way in which it's fundedQuite frankly if you play fps online there's very little that can match it.
I'll give this one a go too..(must remember to smear that black stuff under my eyes and pretend i'm an American soldier though)
