    X3: TC mods

Although buying X3 once, I must admit I was put off by the very steep learning curve. However, I looked at what the mod community doing with the game (eg. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJuqJnGTc8o)and I'm getting quite moist over this game again. Anyone got any mods runnng on X3 already?

edit: Seems that some of the best mod are for X3: Reunion and won't wrk on X3: Terran Conflict.

I think I put my copy of this up in the loft as I found it too darn hard to get into, shame really as I wanted to enjoy it. May drag it down at some point and have another go.

forgot about this game for over a year now great game, a lot to learn before you can really enjoy it, but well worth the time, might have to dust off my copy as well... Deadlight let us know if you come up with any good mods for the Reunion, did not bother to get Terran Conflict as i thought it was a bit of a rip off creating a content patch, but releasing it as a full game

    Right, for new players, go and watch this and then wonder how it (and Reunion, the prequel) will run on your machine get this benchmark (pretty, no?) Remember the X3TC engine used in the benchmark use 1.2 - the game using 2.1, which is faster. Here my benchmark results;

    X3 - Terran Conflict
    --------------------------
    Game Version: 1.2.0.0

    Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7100) (7100.winmain_win7rc.090421-1700)
    DirectX Version: DirectX 11
Graphics Card Info: ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series [2809 MB] Driver: 8.14.0010.0662
    CPU Info: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz
    Usable System Memory: 4096 MB

    Video Settings During Benchmark:
    Screen Resolution: 1920 x 1200 * [32], fullscreen
    Using Shader Profile: 3.0
    Antialias Mode: 4x
    Anisotropic Mode: NONE

    Graphics & Shader Settings:
    Texture Quality: high
    Shader Quality: high
    High Quality Bumpmaps: enabled
    Environment Mapping: enabled
    Glow Filter: enabled
    Ship Color Variations: disabled
    More Dynamic Lights: disabled
    Used Vertexsize: 28 bytes

    Framerates
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scene "Trade" 31.8 average fps 11.0 minimum fps 71.0 maximum fps
Scene "Fight" 67.7 average fps 25.0 minimum fps 152.0 maximum fps
Scene "Build" 90.0 average fps 52.0 minimum fps 160.0 maximum fps
