Used to do a bit of CSS mapping a few years ago and I thought I'd spend some time over summer and try and make a good L4D survival map. But I need ideas! - So how about some suggestions?![]()

A music festival! Plenty of zombies to kill!
Any of the horror staples really -
A Shaun of the Dead style supermarket would work well too. You could have cheesy music playing in the background.

Shopping centre sounds good, lots of little shops to hide in, or run about like crazy in the main area..., the rest I'm not too keen on as they seem either too 'closed' or would need more detail than a survival map needs.
I do computer science with game dev at uni but we don't do this stuff at uni.. I work part time somewhere totally irrelevant though
Hmm, haven't seen those but a Library sounds ok.
Liking the idea of a fun fair...
Haha, sounds fun but I don't think I could be arsed making a model of Gordon Brown too.
True but where will the survivors go? up on the stage?... simple map to make I guess but would get boring quickly.
office sounds ok, but I think there are already similar kinda maps... like inside mercy hospital.
me too... dodgy half working neon lights?.. i'm starting to see a picture here....
Even after some googlage I'm still not sure what you mean?
Ha, a supermarket would probably work well.. lots of running around with not too many places to hide.. might get a bit plain looking though?
Excellent suggestions though! Keep them coming. I'm definietly tempted by an abandoned fair ground... or something like you see on the telly.. american carnivals...
A carnival would be ace, you could have a central area for the survivors in amongst upturned rides with their lights on and fair ground music playing - very atmospheric.
Just an idea - the survivors could climb on top of a merry-go-round, which revolves?
