was going to buy the 360 version anyway... still its a bit of a pain for pc only people.

Makes sense really. Get one version sorted, see what the general view of the game is from industry and public. If it get good reviews, release on PC. If it gets poor reviews, do some tweaking, see what the results are, if good release on PC.
They need to pull their finger out really, otherwise could end up like another DNF.
Looks like its going to have to be 360 version for me, seeing as it wont be available on PS3 and having to wait for PC version
It will be a real shame if they dont bring it out for the PC. I own both platforms, but I would rather have got it for the PC, to make it look that much sharper and crisper (GPU hardware capabilities are a bit ridiculouly high atm), and also so that I can actaully aim properly, but if I have to, will get it on 360.
I can kind of understand why, and I'm sure that the 360 market is more lucrative, but I know that there are going to be a lot of angry PC owners... Still, there is a lot of time left till release, so who knows what may happen...
And I remember when it was DX10 poster boy![]()
So is this like another exclusive type thing going with MS?
I do not really see why waiting for a PC version is that much of shafting for PC users.
Although, that may mean that the PC version will be a console port. Like GTA IV.
Rather than it being designed for all systems like Fallout 3 and Far Cry 2. If that makes sense.![]()
cant really blame them, they will make more money off the 360 release than the PC relese afterall
Gamertag - Russonf (xbox and ps3)
thats not 100% true. sims 3 has sold 1.4million in less then a week. more than killzone 2 has sold from the point it was released, until that day where records of sims 3 sales where first announced.
Its likely it will sell more on consoles though but its also likely that it can sell well on the pc's too. Fallout 3 is a good example of this, it sold nearly has much has "both console sales" combined.
Developing for the consoles also means they have to pay MS to allow them to develope a game for them whilst on the pc's they dont pay anyone and just make the game because its a open platform.
If they do release this on pc's months after and it doesnt sell well, its down to their fault and not about piracy.
PC gamers in general have high expectations then console users and do not want a console port on their pc's. This game is sounding like it will be a console port.
I have a feeling AW is going to go all 'Alone in the Dark' on us, ie it'll be a budget title within a month of release.
Guess it's easier to test the water on a console first before the PC release. They might even be holding out due to performance on the PC, at least you know your limits on a console.
On a PC Gamer podcast one of the guys who had a look at it said he did not think it will turn out great. That was a long time ago he said that.
Like Max Payne, I get a feeling the story and atmosphere will make this a game I will want.
I could get it for 360. Just that I prefer the higher res of my PC.
But it seems most people here own a console as well.![]()
http://www.brightfalls.net/news/640/ = its up to the publisher if they can make the game for the pc
Remedy = EPIC.
I don't see this as a game being a budget title within a month. It's been in the pre-order charts of most of the retailers for quite some time now. I've had it on pre-order for the 360 for the best part of a year now.
This will shift a lot of unit when it's release and will no doubt make MS more money by releasing it on the 360 first and then the PC a few months later maybe. Even if for some reason the PC version sold more units than the consoles, remember console games sell for more, generally £15 more, so they would still make more.
Living and dying laughing and crying
Once you have seen it you will never be the same
Life in the fast lane is just how it seems
Hard and it is heavy dirty and mean
