Resi Evil 5 PC system requirements

Does that make it a ridiculously horrible game that no one should ever play? Apparently.

But for those who found Resident Evil 5 to be the game equivalent of a summer action flick, or just plain liked hearing D.C. Douglas say the word "uroboros" again and again, here are the requirements for the PC version, which is due out in September.

    Minimum system requirements:
    OS: Windows XP/Windows Vista
HDD: 8 GB of free space
    CPU: Intel Pentium D Processor/AMD Athlon 64 X2
Ram: Windows Vista (1 GB), Windows XP (512 MB)
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 6800 series/ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro with 256 MB of ram, DirectX9.0c/Shader 3.0

    Recommended system requirements:
CPU: Intel Core2Quad Processor or better/AMD Phenom X4 or better
Ram: Windows Vista (2 GB), Windows XP (1 GB)
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 series or better/ATI Radeon HD 4800 series or better with 512 MB of ram or more
Besides having exclusive costumes for Chris and Sheva and being viewable in stereoscopic 3D, the PC port has three times as many enemies in Mercenaries mode than its console brethren. All things considered, it sounds like the wait might be worth it.

I like Resi 5. Granted though the last one I played through to the end was Resi 3 way back on the PSX. It doesn't have the shock and scare factor the other games have, but it is pretty gory and has some genuinely tense moments.

I just think its a great action / adventure game that is aimed at adults. Don't let people with what they are saying put you off.

Re: Resi Evil 5 PC system requirements

Looks like another console port that has no clue about minimum specs. Pentium D not equal to X2 AMD nor is the 6800 equal to a 2400, did they do any research when creating these specs or just copy them off another game's box lol.

Recommended look fine though bit steep to demand a quad, though will make me buy one if more start to need it. GTA 4 is the only game that's been damn near unplayable without one.

Re: Resi Evil 5 PC system requirements

Not sure if it will be ported using the same engine used in Devil May Cry 4, but if it is, then I think that most users rigs will run it at a satisfactory level. As long as they remember to put in mouse aiming then I'm pre-ordering as soon as...
