Ahhhh i remember the summer of 1992 and the folks getting me Wolfenstein 3D for my birthday, my first ms-dos game - the nostalgia
Played all the games since (loved its last incarnation) think i will be picking up a copy on PC for sure.
If you guys are interested I did a general Q&A with Eric Biessman, Creative Director for Wolfenstein, Raven Software & Steve Nix, Director of Business Development, id Software but the answers were far from stellar so my site Square Go decided not to upload it but if you fancy it, I can post it here.
Though I'm gonna wait till I hear back from Hexus and a few other games sites first.
I lost many years to Wolf and then Wolf:ET and some of my best gaming moments have been in these games.
The graphics on the new one look sub par...but if the gameplay is there I can see it being a hit
I could never get into quakewars, not too fond of games with vehicles.
Same for me regarding MP though i will probably play through the SP at some point
the old Wolfenstein was good but this new one looks crap.
Ok, some more info...
Wolfenstein multiplayer: flamethrowers, occult powers, more
Wolfenstein-Zone Q&A with Matt Wilson of Endrant
And some actual gaming footage of MP:- Wolf walkthru
Complete MP info HERE
Sounds promising especially for fans of wolf and wolf:ET. Will it compete with COD:MW2 I would like to think so, but in truth prob not
Apparently the beta got leaked, and it's a COD clone from what I've been reading. I'm so guttedEveryone is always one about how great RTCW was and I was hoping this would be my RCTW. Back to ET:QW :'(
That sold it for me. Sounds like alot more stratigy in leveling your character then simply obtaining a bigger gun.For multiplayer, we just didn't want new players to be killed in one shot by a veteran with all the weapon unlocks, but we did want players to be able to pick and choose upgrades according to how they want to play the game. Some of the choices you'll have to make are things like power versus accuracy, reload time versus recoil/muzzle kick. If you're a medic, do you want your veil power to heal people faster, or would you prefer it to also heal you a little bit as you're healing other people? Those are the kind of decisions the unlocks introduce to the player.
I would like to think the pace will be quicker than COD. Also having classes surely changes the game, except in deathmatch ofc.Apparently the beta got leaked, and it's a COD clone from what I've been reading. Its got to be better than ET:QW which imo was just awful.
Well having played COD5, I hope it is nothing like the COD series in the slightest bit.
WHAT?! No way man, ET:QW was and probably still is a brilliant game, haven't played in a while. But I played it every night for 3 hours for 2 years. It was the best enjoyment I got out of a game since the good old days of Mafia.
Ahhhhhh...i remeber the days of RTCW and ET.
Used to play at a very good level and earn a few quid.
The days of Epitaph at Quakecon and spanking around with 4K still get me going now....hahaha
In case anyone is interested, a friend of mine, RAGE, who was in our team died and we made a tribute RTCW movie (best bits) for prosterity.
Take a look...true wolf players will love it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQFmnRwC-uY
Enjoy watching it as much as we did making it. (make sure you go to the end...the tribute is great!
