Wet demo, anyone tried it yet?

Just downloading it at the moment and wondering if anyone else has got the demo yet and if so, what's it like?

Living and dying laughing and crying
Once you have seen it you will never be the same
Life in the fast lane is just how it seems
Hard and it is heavy dirty and mean

Played it through last night, it was kind of cool but I wasn't really blown away.

Very Stranglehold like but plays and feels a lot better that Stranglehold. Once it started I had the feeling of I will buy this years down the line when I am bored but I might actually look for a cheap version in the next month or so. Loving the Kill Bill esque section of the demo, very stylised in black, red and white flashes for the blood.

Was surprised by the demo, wasn't expecting much from it.

got bored in about 5 minutes and deleted it
i realise it was only a demo but it doesnt play very well, clunky controls and clunky character animations, didnt feel very smooth and the graphics were pretty poor - not fun to play

Pretty much my thoughts on it too. I liked the 'film' styling and the way the film falls off the reel etc when you die, but ultimately I didn't find myself being drawn into it.

Re: Wet demo, anyone tried it yet?

I think if this game launched last month it might of done better as July was a real slump period for games and nothing much came out. With it releasing now with Batman due Friday, Assassins Creed and Ghostbusters due to land on everything else it pales in comparison. I liked the stranglehold game but that had its issues with the controls but I stuck with it due to being a John Woo/Hard Boiled fan and this is about on par with it. I will get it when its cheap as chips, same as Wolfenstein and they are literally filler games to waste time on in my opinion.

didnt like it at all, bit ridiculous with the stuff you can do, the jumping is a bit off, and you cant seem to climb everything, just certain items, games is very linear, one of those movie type games, where you press a button to participate, stranglehold was good, this is just going over the limit.

And the grainy film effect is annoying as hell!

I was thinking Sin City originally but I wouldn't dare compare this to Frank Millers best work. I thought more of kill bill due to the music that is playing in the back ground during that sequence. Thinking of trying the demo again, to see if its as I remember it or if it was alright due to a week of no new games.

Re: Wet demo, anyone tried it yet?

Breifly heard about this a whle ago but only just stubled across the trailer and website.
Is it basically tomb raider on coke or something?
Never got into tomb raider, not even back in the early amiga days, but am a big dushku fan and I like the style of the trailer, seems unlike most video game trailers with the wild west music and the film grain. Any further opinions on it?
