Games suggestion

Hi All

I'm putting together a gaming PC for myself and am going to start a games collection too. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for games that I might want to have a look at? I'm mainly into RTS, TBS, point and click, War and general strategy games. I don't mind the older games so if anyone thinks there is a classic I've missed, feel free to include. So far I either have or am going to get:

The C&C Series
Empire: Total War
Football manager 2010
The AoE Series
Civ Series
Sims Series
Starcraft

The specs for my PC will be:
Phenom II X4 955BE
Gigabyte MA770-UD3 revision 2
4gb PC2-8500 DDR2 RAM
Corsair HX450W 450w modular PSU ~£59
Samsung F1 1tb ~£54
HD4870 512mb ~ £90

So no need to include any games that you think my set up will struggle with.

That is a whole 2 lifetimes already!

I am a Guildwars addict and all the chapters can be picked relatively cheaply; the game has no subscription fees.
Medeivil total war II is still good and there are plenty of mods.
TBS; UFO enemy unknown is still the daddy imo (enemy from the deep is a bit too hard).
Homeworld and homeworld 2 are not bad if you desperately need something to play.
Master of Orion 2 (NOT 3) is excellent and should be sampled.
The close combat series is not bad if you like historic rts.
If you like RPG try Baldurs Gate 2; there is a kind of strategy element to it.

P.S. I don't think there is any game your PC can't play.

I take back all I said about you demeaning Hexus' name in PCW. Excellent choice - didn't take you for a Sins player

Seeing as the OP is a bit of a RTS fan, perhaps Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance and World in Conflict too. Tried Dawn of War 2 yet? Free DLC coming soon and well worth checking out if you haven't already.

Not into RPGs? Fallout 3 GOTY is out next month - that's enough to sink a hundred hours into...

Have Hearts of Iron 3, seems like it could be a good game (very very in depth though so be warned, although i kinda like it) but it needs another patch before it's properly playable. It's expected this week so fingers crossed with that.

CoH anthology can be had for 9.99 at play right now. 3 games for a tenner isnt bad and as people have said its a brill game

What about some nice turn based rpgs?

Never Winter Nights 2 +expansions, fantastic game
Fallout 1,2 and tactics (£5.99 for all three)

+1 on Sins of a solar empire.

You may want to check Dawn Of War to. Personally I prefer the first Dawn of War with all the add-on's over DoW2.

Also for £8 atm on Steam you can get every UFO/XCOM game released bar the latest one that landed early 2000's

Europa Universalis series is meant to be quite educational. Never played them though.

I find most of the RTS to all be the same quite quickly. The graphics are different but the gameplay is very similar.

Seconded for supreme commander, no RTS gamers collection is complete without it... amazing game.

I used to love a RTS called Dark Reign, had so much depth in it. I believe the community has taken the game by the scruff of the neck and there are still patches and new content and maps being released by them (www.darkreign.ws/). Definetly work a look.
