XBOX Wireless Controller on the PC?

Rather stupidly I bought a wireless XBOX controller without doing any research into it.

I assumed it would come with a wirless dongle to connect to your PC, however it didnt and I not sure what I should do now.

Are there any cheap wirless dongles, or a wire I could buy or something?

Is the kit your after, not sure if you can trust the company though.....it's over £20 from the other places I have seen them.

I am not sure if they changed it but when the 360 released I could never get the controllers working via the PnC kits.....it was only the wired controllers that worked until they released that wireless dongle. I haven't done any more research into it since I picked one of the dongles up myself a while back.

It wouldn't help, the wireless controllers still connect wirelessly even when they're charging off the cable.

Look up some Controller+Dongle kit as well. I paid £25 for the combo a while back, but even if it can't be found at that price right now, consider the resell factor of the controller (and it's nice if you ever want to play with friends).

i use one of them dongles for my PC, work really well, 32 bit or 64 bit. bit expensive for what it is though..
can use the xbox steering wheel through that thing as well though, and afaik you can also use the media remote..

the play and charge kit only charges the controller. the controller still connects wirelessly while being charged.

I think scan do the reciever and a controller for £30.
Anyone know if the 360 wireless guitars work well through these things?
And how many controllers can connect at the same time?

I bought the reciever on ebay, a black one to match my black controller for £18. I'm not a fan of the beige, thanks all.

I've been using this for a week now, its very good, very responsive. One issue I am having with the reciever/controller is that after waking up from sleep mode, the controller does not seem to sync with the reciever correctly - it works, but does not rumble and does not get assigned to player 1 or player 2 etc.
