    Re: Anyone else playing Torchlight?

Just downloading the demo to my netbook. Not sure what to expect but apparently it has a mode for GMA 950! Will try and post some grabs soon.
My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

0iD: Plus weeing in it every now & again does it good
scaryjim: 10" is just a little large to hold comfortably in one hand, which makes it a lot harder to tap, swipe and generally interact with.

    Re: Anyone else playing Torchlight?

A few grabs of the Torchlight demo running on my MSI Wind clone (Windows 7 Home Premium RC, 2GB RAM, Intel GMA 950).

All menu and panel items are easily accessible and the game feels responsive enough despite Fraps registering single digits during early battles. Obviously nowhere near as pretty as when maxed out. Credit where credit's due, the game's netbook mode definately works.

It's a shame Steam has to run in the background and I can't help but wonder how much performance is lost as a result.

Interestingly, the demo allows you to resume so I'll be exploring more later. Could quite easily see me playing this whilst chilling out in front of the TV tonight.

    Re: Anyone else playing Torchlight?

I loved Diablo 2 hugely, and i know its from many of the same team, but 2 things about this disappoint me: 1 it's single player only and 2 it's not diablo 3
I still have 2 friends who also enjoy a good D2 hack and slash, and we even went down the 'guild wars' route for a while, but this sounds promising.
Might given the demo a run.
Nice to know the netbook version does work, although i dont think i'll try to do it via Wine on Ubuntu.
