Steam won't let you install it until the official release date. Until then you will just get an invalid key message.

So even with a retail copy you have to wait on Steam activation with this and for some reason Steam isn't releasing it till the 12th?

I'll take off like a ROFLcopter if this game is cracked by then, there is already ISO's on the torrent sites.

I have my PC version sitting here to and we have to wait for Steam to unlock it :/ I can wait though I have L4D2 demo to fill in the time and EVE Online is chewing any free time I have atm.

Is there any reason why the Steam release is two days after the retail one?

Can you imagine how many frustrated and confused kids there will be wondering why the game they bought can't be played for two days?

The steam version isn't released until the 12th, but the retail version is out on the 10th, so retail copies should be able to be installed on the 10th.

I would of said most kids would of got the console version. I am tempted to take the PC version back and stick with the 360 version.

As for the 12th, I ain't sure why it's two days later :/

So if you got throught it all on the ps3 in a night, I gather the reports of a 4-6 hour single player is true....

It's the one part of CoD4 I wish was longer and MW2 seems even shorter

Is the game tied to your Steam account? If there's now way to resell it once done with, I think I'll flog my retail copy when it arrives and wait for it to be on offer next year sometime.

Hm, that just made me think.. how will they rent this game if it ties to a steam account? Unless you mean console, i guess.
