Bought a few stardock games over the last couple of years. The level of understanding (as demonstrated by comments like this), they have into their audience and their medium is refreshing in a sea of clones, console ports and just changing the number on the box once a year. I bought a couple of games on the strength of that fact alone. Not been disappointed yet

Sounds like a petty rant to me, completely lowered my opinion of the chap.

64bit development? Yeah, great for a niche few, but the vast majority of PCs out there aren't running 64bit OS. Why do you need large scale/scope to make a great game? 'Back in the day' we used to value gameplay over raw numbers - it's too easy to hide poor gameplay behind big wow numbers that marketeers love.

Yes, 64bit does offer some cool things for the future of PC stuff, but to claim that not using it has any relation to 'dumbing down' is just.. well.. dumb.
