double agent problems "high shader detail"

im hoping someone can help me, ive got splinter cell double agent and im havin some mega problems with the "high shader detail" option.....whenever its not enabled it looks crap...no shadows or pretty eyecandy yet if i enable it.....there is some nice eyecandy....at a real big cost, at some points, if i have sam fishers back to the light source...it disapears! yet if he faces it, its there?? it i move away from say a spotlight....the shadows all mess up and go away...im currently uploading a video but it might take awhile, at least this way though you can see the problem im having ive wanted to play this game for years.....really just want it working nicely first though

Have you updated all your drivers. Always a good thing to start with when you get problems like this

Try turning off the AA and Anisotropic Filtering in the drivers control panel, also enable V Sync
