Thumbs up Alien Vs Predator PC//PS3//XBOX

out mid febuary - i sat watching the official trailer and the different race trailers too - i REALLY hope this is as good as it looks, and lives upto the Awesomeness of the original!
the Marine video with the textbook Pulse rifle noise with the epic ammo counter and the motion tracker got me all exited!!
edit - there was alot of game play pics which i chose not to link as it involved predators pulling peoples heads off or aliens biting them off and such - VERY GRAPHICALLY!

So close to pre-ordering myself but I know the 8800GTS will struggle with it. Might just have to bite the bullet and get the 360 version. Actually maybe not, will grab it when it hits the £20~ mark.

Yeah that's the pc version, shuttle won't really take anything bigger than the newer 8800GTS G92 core versions. Just don't have the money to throw at PC upgrades again. I can wait a couple of months and hopefully it will plummet in price on the 360

Same, wants the dx 11 glory :L. However cash does not allow it .

If its like AVP1 or 2 with newer graphics, its an epic and instant win. It also has co-op from what steam says( something i really want to see now, co-op is best imo)

@Grey, it will play it mate.. my 4850 will play it and is like 5-10% faster than your card only. GTS is a strong card and your on same res at me, it will play great just not at ultra with loads of AA but on console you get no AA anyways!.

Yeah I am debating as to which to go for atm. On the PC I know of around 3 people that would be up for co-op on a regular basis, on the 360 there are atleast 13 people on my friends list that I know have it on pre-order.

    Re: Alien Vs Predator PC//PS3//XBOX

With consoles the games go as a fad in my experience, after a new game is out they wont play it much at all really but with pc its always got support/mods and people playing... AVP2 multiplayer has been fixed by people and is still a good amount of players on!.

An HD5770 would be faster than your 8800GTS 512MB and should fit in your case!!

I only have an HD4830 in my SD37P2 but I would expect to still be able to play this game at reasonable settings.

Yeah I grabbed one off a mate after Finlay mentioned it and the only way that will fit in the sx38 is if I cut a chunk off the cooling as the enclosure on it was bulky as hell.

Don't really have the money for a new FX card yet and I am easily another year or two off a new system

Same here!! I had an 8800GTS 512MB in my SD37P2 at one time too.

I would try overclocking your Q6600 on stock voltage though. Anyway I have a Q6600 and 4GB of RAM too!! Luckily you have a 450W PSU unlike the 400W one in my SD37P2 and also Shuttle decided to keep the first generation PCI-E slot in my SD37P2 running permanently at PCI-E 8X!!

CPU is clocked to 3.2ghz atm with the cold weather. In the summer though it has to go to stock voltage and it still runs toasty xD

I would try reversing the fans as this does help with cooling.
