    Cool Freespace 2

Anybody else ever played this game?

I have the original Freespace - quality game, absolute quality.

I only ever god a downloaded version of FS2 (naughty me) and it didn't have vid's animation, speech etc, so I've finally decided to buy the game - got if off ebay today (well, won the auction anyway.)

IMHO it's the best space game EVER. My second favourite game EVER (second to Half-Life.)

What about the rest of you?

it was an amazing game, great plot, amazing graphics and huge ships! - made me buy a force feedback joystick especially to play it - was way too hard using keys

Multiplayer was really great fun, it even had co-op play - not sure if it's still as popular now though You should check out the mods and extra missions you can get for it - The Babylon 5 one is really good

Freelancer comes a close second in favourite space game, but nothing beats Outcast - my favourite ever

I downloaded B5 addon for it last night, but the game hasn't arrived yet so I can't try it, lol.

Superb game - need a new joystick though, since my new PC only has USB ports, and my joystick is a bit old.

Really nice, simple one too - minimalist - Wingman Light.

Nothing better than locking on, pausing a few seconds to let them run because you know they're already dead, and then hitting that button to watch two missiles bring about the destiny of your enemies.
