    Painkiller? some screens...

Hmm not sure about this game, so far its been violent, very violent. Lots of mutant things to kill in a dark and musky environment. My machine handles the game well and my 9800XT handles everything the game throws at it with ease even though I can tell its working hard with the fan going nuts....

just wondered if anyone else is playing it and thier thoughts?!?!

    Some screens.....off my machine running P4 2.4 533FSB, 1GB of PC2700 Ram and a Sapphire 9800XT 256mb running 4X anti aliasing, 16x Ansitropic 1280x1024.

Yeah, been playing it, my rig handles it with ease as well.

Its a bit of a mindless blaster to be honest, and I've not much interest in playing it much further, if it doesn't pick up. Far Cry wasn't exactly anything to shout from the rooftops about, but its a good deal better than Painkiller.

The weapons are fun, and it looks nice, but as I said, you just plug away until nothing's left moving on the screen, and move on. Needs a bit more.

I agree mate but i cant hep but be very impressed by the fact that the game was playing with all settings maxed at 1280x1024 on my machine with a 9600xt. Well over 60fps constant

I know its not farcry but its a beautiful looking game- awesome sound two if you have it plugged into a decent speaker system.

I have only played the demo but i think i'l get it at some point. Love staking zombies and that boss- awesome. Gota love that collapsing scenery to tho i did notice a drop in framerate when that happend...

Runs real nice on my setup with the 9600 Pro. Must agree with Vaul though with the game itself, it gets a bit boring after a while. I suppose yeah its good if you want a daft mindless blast for 20 mins after a hard days work but thats all I think it really offers. Going round in circles virtually to get to the next section of the level gets a bit tedious. Its very similar to the game Firestarter but with a gothic type feel to it.

I would say if you are wanting to buy it, wait a few weeks and you should be able to pick one up 2nd hand from Gamestation or wherever does games trade ins locally for half the price of brand new.
