    Re: Have a wheel?

I guess i'm on my own with this then

Oh well, how about the chance to win a £1700 lap top and race against an F1 driver for about £7.50?
You get a months membership to the best racing game ever made aswell.

I keep looking at iracing and think I'll give this ago, but then I see the monthly sub and I always change my mind.

That is the big downside for iracing. I too was the same for a long time, looks good. Too expensive.

But get a month promo deal and race as much as you can. That's what i did and suddenly the cost didn't worry me as much.
You can earn as much as $40 in credit a year that can go towards your further subs or content aswell. You get $4 for each championship that you compete 8 of the 12 weeks for. As well as credit offered for promo things aswell. it's still pricy, but the only way you'll know if it's eventually worth it is if you try it.
They put good deals up every few months or so. Should be easy enough to get a cheap trial. And $10 isn't much for a 1 month try with added content. You don't even have to do the race in the promotion.
But once out of the Rookie class the racing is excellent. And the Safty rating idea means much better racing than other racing games online.

The laser scanned tracks really are quite a league ahead of anything else in sim racing aswell as the best FFB you can find anywhere.

    Re: Have a wheel?

I also keep looking at it but it has always had too much US focus for me with tracks and cars. This is changing slowly so might have another look soon. But by then rfactor2 might be out....

I ran iracing for a year when it first came out - excellent game, fantastic racing, tracks & models. Just too expensive for me unfortunately.

It's getting much better. Now have Brands, Silverstone, Zandvoort, Phillip Island with at least Oulton park on the way. But yes there's a lot of US tracks, there are some good ones there though the big problem for me was learning all the tracks from scratch. Williams F1 out this year though should be interesting

The pricing structure did change in Dec iirc, with the ability to earn credits for running in each series. So the yearly subs are probably the cost of a new console game every year if you have the max credits. But the content will still be required or wanted.

Iracing has saved me money buying other games though, as i don't so much anymore Obviously still a few though
