    Question borderlands vegetation problems?

hi, playing borderlands, and have a problem with the areas that have vegetation on them, instead of the vegetation being on the ground as you would expect, the vegetation seems to have been shattered and is displayed where it should be in a number of shards that make aiming an absolute nightmare as they block the line of site and instead of staying in one place they disappear and then re-spawn some where else. this is happening on the surface with about 700 shards. im pretty sure it is not the hardware as the other areas without vegetation are displayed beautifully such as the sky, the cliffs, and the desert areas.

it maybe an error in the code but im not sure, what do you guys think?

    rig:
    Pentium D 2.1 GHz
    4 gb ram
    ati mobility 4570
    vista 64 bit

    Re: borderlands vegetation problems?

Does your laptop even meet the minimum spec? Your CPU is, tbh, crap.

Updated to latest version? ATI driver revision etc?

    Re: borderlands vegetation problems?

    S: Windows XP/Vista
Processor: 2.4 Ghz or equivalent processor with SSE2 support
Memory: 1GB System RAM (2GB recommended with Vista)
Graphics: 256mb video ram or better (GeForce 7 series or higher/Radeon HD3000 series or higher)
Hard Drive: 8 GB or more free space
    Sound: Windows compatible sound card
    Should run it reasonably well?

    By the power of google!

    ...

Does your problem look something like this?

See here for some ideas... looks like it might be a driver problem as finlay suggests but rather than update you may need to roll back.

    hope that helps?
