Well, do ya?
If it's available, do you talk "ingame" online?
I think there are a LOT of shy embarressed gamers who won't talk.... lose the fear people. Talk to your team

Got tired of muting all the annoying kids so just turn off the whole thing, haven't event got a headset on the PS3. You do hear some classics though, like "But mum, I'm not hungry. Can I have dinner latter?"...
im always sat in TS3 when playing.
even if its just to question the parentage and sexuality of clam members![]()
I used to find headsets so uncomfortable I didn't bother.
And then you've got various added stresses - people wondering what you're doing talking to yourself, or laughing because you sound like an idiot "Get down, there's a flipping F35 coming in". And so people start talking to me outside the room, which means I have to take the headset off, tell them to flip off, and the continue. By which point I've lost the thread of it all and died.
Furthermore, I used to find it made things more stressful most of the time. I could play fairly happily, and enjoy myself most of the time, but when I logged onto Teamspeak people got so angry in there, hurling all sorts of abuse at virtually everybody on the server, accusing 18 people of hacking... all just utterly mental. As a result, I didn't enjoy it as much, so I tended to avoid it where possible.
I play "Free Roam MP" on GTA IV/EFLC a lot with Lee and we ALWAYS talk on Skype, it's just not the same without it.
And if I'm playing a MP game with people, I always try to talk, but only through Skype.
I use Vent to talk to some people in game... but the people I talk to there are either IRL friends or 'internet friends' that I've known for a few years. So it's all good.
I definitely agree with you, but that's a bit different though.
Firstly, GTA is only larking around most of the time, so you don't get angry people moaning about hackers/glitchers/cheaters so on... certainly not in the same way as CoD or Battlefield.
And secondly, you tend to have maybe 4 people on Skype at once... that's so much more enjoyable than when there's loads of people - especially if none of them use push to talk and none of them like silence.
It does make things much easier!
you lot must play on some horrib;e servers
I get the odd drunk american with verbal diarrhoea and that's about it.
On crouch only servers, team talk is very important.. you're alive for a quite a long time and need to communicate

In MMO's I always use voice comms, it's needed to co-ordinate 10 or 25 people at once to ensure things run smoothly. It also helps with the social aspect of the game, sitting there chatting with ppl after the raid is how you make friends![]()

This is bunny and friends. He is fed up waiting for everyone to help him out, and decided to help himself instead!
