    Alien Breed: Impact PS3/PC

Have a feeling im going to have to get this, such fond memories of this game. Apparently there was a release on xba that got a "average" reception, so they have made allot of improvements. Anyone play that version here?

Sounds good that you can now upgrade weapons/kit as well and they are tweaking the difficulty and more variety of aliens.

Well this is a pleasant surprise! After what seemed like ages since we heard anything about the PC and PSN version of Alien Breed Evolution, we not only find out it's getting several improvements and a name change to Alien Breed: Impact,

Looks like it will be a PSN/Steam download rather than full price retail release. Just noticed it is on steam store, but may wait for psn release.

Played the demo, feels alot like shadowgrounds:Survivor only slower.

Its good that it has co-op support but there are only 3 maps in this mode. I doubt I will get it unless it appears in one of these tempting steam sales.

    Re: Alien Breed: Impact PS3/PC

Initial thoughts after I tried the PC demo last night... Problems getting it running at first with a message popping up stating the game was unavailable. After deleting the local content and trying again, the game launched without a hitch.

Got stuck a few times whilst to trying move around and menu actions aren't particularly responsive. Perhaps there's an issue with using a controller, whatever the case, hope it's fixed in the full release.

Made it through the demo, which Team 17 really, really want you to buy judging by the amount of reminders, and came away pleased enough. Unlike the Amiga versions, I didn't notice many bodies strune about but then it's a pretty dark and claustrophobic environment and quite a brief runtime, maybe I'll spot them in a replay.

Liked what I saw, enough to stump up for a pre-order anyway
My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

0iD: Plus weeing in it every now & again does it good
scaryjim: 10" is just a little large to hold comfortably in one hand, which makes it a lot harder to tap, swipe and generally interact with.

Interesting... downloading the demo now. Not that my wallet could take the strain of buying new games at the minute... *sigh* - so this better not be any good
