So I've now got an X-Box...

And I'm wondering what to do with it, apart from play games...

How can I best exploit this bit of kit?

    Suggestions please?

You wont be able to use the Xbox Live service if you mod it though.

Ah Deck you have come over to the dark side, chip it, upgrade to a 250gb hard drive and you have a new home entertainment system. Mine has a 120gb hard drive in it and is full of software. IS THE MUTTS NUTS.

XBOX Live is poor anyway, my mate has it and playing is impossible with the controller. Also pretty pointless if you have a PC. I say get it chipped whack a huge HDD on there and enjoy.

perform an experiment that involes your xbox coming into contact with a fast moving truck (cars dont work, they just bouce off it). Then go buy more stuff for your PC (or a decent console like the gamecube - it knows that its a games console so can excell at it; unlike the PS2/Xbox which try to multitask and fail abismally)

LOL what is impossible with the controller? And XBL is far from poor.

playing online is pointless if you have a pc?

go back 10 years, and playing multiplayer would be pointless if you DID have a pc

nintendo had online play in japan for the famicom before windows was released

Find friends with Xboxes, hook them up, and play 8< way Halo - way too much fun!
