What's the equivalent to Forza on the PC?

    I love the Forza games on the 360. But I don't have a 360.

What's the nearest game to the Forza series on the PC? Burnout Paradise is a good fun, if shallow mess around, Trackmania is OK, I played the DiRT2 demo and it didn't really grab me.

Anyone got any suggestions? Not really bothered about Online play at all, so if it's a few years old, it doesn't matter (as long as it works on Win7 64 bit)

Need for speed Shift has the handling, better graphics than forza, and some modification type stuff. Only downside is relative lack of tracks and cars, but it's the closest.

If you want the car range then Test Drive Unlimited is probably closest. Not so much track based though.

Race Pro for simulation, people play it at the hexus lans IIRC and it supports steering wheel + pedal and clutches

Race Pro is X360 only. Do you mean GTR:Evo/Race 07? I agree that's a better simulator than the ones I mentioned, but that's kind of a different category than Forza, so they feel like very different games. It's just about the driving experience, there's no car collecting, upgrading or unlocking things. But it's certainly the most satisfying to put a lap together on.

Just no! Grid isn't anything like Forza IMHO . It's a fun, fairly good looking arcade game, but there's very little car and track choice, and there's absolutely no modification/setup of cars. If you're looking for a driving experience then it's not going to satisfy very much!

OK, cheers for the info. I'll download a demo of NFS shift tonight and have a play around. If demos are available for the others, I'll give those a try too. Want to hurtle around Nurburgring at a great rate

NFS:Shift and GTR:Evo are your best choices for that as they both have Nurburgring/Nordschleife. Looks amazing in Shift as well to be honest. Grid has the nurburgring GP track, not nordschliefe though.

Bah - my PC's spec isn't up to it. It plays ok with some of the options down low, but doesn't look great. Plus, NFS kept crashing after about 1 minute anyway.

I might just buy a 2nd hand 360 when the 360S gets released

Thanks for the info anyway though.

    They are cheap now tbh

Sumaji picked up the 250gb hdd (FF13 branded) for £45 from broadbandbuyer and the console 2nd hand is something like £65 with a years guarantee from game

    edit:

    and

    http://www.game.co.uk/Xbox360/Hardwa...sole-Preowned/

spot over £110, and you can sell the hard drive straight back as you have a better one
