PC Games and the lack of GFW Achievements

Even though I've already completed Batman Arkham Asylum and Bioshock 2 on Xbox, I might get them for PC too. Just coz they were good, and coz I'm a whoring achv whore

I got GTA4 for PC after owning the 360 version. It was only £5 and looks a lot better and has loads of mods as well.

Its very annoying. Two of the games I play the most are present on that list (Fallout 3 and Resi 5). So it doesn't concern me that much. I assume more and more future games will have this capability.

There are only 34 Games For Windows that come with Achievements. Now, call me an Achievement Wh0re but how come. This service has been around for ages and there's very few games that support this.

It's 'cos Microsoft managed to make such a hash of G4WL that it's worse than Steam in almost every way, it feels like a half-arsed port of XBox Live that barely acknowledges the existence of a mouse; cross-platform friends lists and messaging is nice, but it seems like Shadowrun is about the extent of the attempts at cross-platform play, and like jim & others mention it can be a right pain in the bum when trying to update stuff, or if you have connection problems and can't log in at which point some games sulk and don't let you get to any saves.
