Starcraft 2 supposedly has a RRP of £45 and is currently on 'sale' for £35, almost single-handedly bucking the trend for ever lower PC game prices. Thoughts?
My head says it's fair value - PC games used to cost this much back in the day, and decreasing numbers of people willing to pay for AAA PC games means increased unit price is needed to keep the platform desirable for the games industry.
But no matter how I rationalise it, I'm slightly baulking at it when I've gotten used to paying half that for AAA games recently.
The problem is I'm not even sure it's an early adopter price - Blizzard titles can hang onto value for a very long time - if it reviews well it might even creep further up towards RRP
So what do I do?!I can afford it, but at the same time, I've got other games to play as well...
