    Gaming Headset Advice

I'm looking for a new gaming headset for a LAN next weekend to replace a cheap, uncomfortable old Logitech one. I'll be plugging into an Asus Xonar D2X so USB soundcard derivatives are a no-go. I've been tempted by the Roccat Kave and have also given some thought to going for a pair of Goldring NS1000s and adding a clip-on mic. To be honest, the former is most appealing at present as it seems less cumbersome and I can't seem to find many people taking fault with the Roccats.

I'm happy to listen to other suggestions though. I'm keen to spend somewhere between about £40 and £80, probably no more.

    Thanks for the help.

if you have small ears, they used to hurt like hell after a few hours, hence me swapping them for the PC-350's with huge cups.

    Re: Gaming Headset Advice

    I've got a sharkoon x-tatic 5.1 digital headset and it's awesome.

Yeah it's pricey, but the ability to connect it to the xbox digitally and also the PC digitally is really great and the bass on it is absolutely outstanding.

    Re: Gaming Headset Advice

Had my pair of kaves now for about 6 months and can't fault them tbh, comfy, amazing bass, built in vibration function for that *cinema* feeling and dispite what people say the 5.1 does actually work and well at that.
